FAQWhat are the school’s hours? We are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m. We are closed on Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The Nursery will also close when there is a code red weather alert. There may be days where we close on a code yellow depending on the amount of ice and snow we get. All school closing are posted on WHIZ (TV and Radio), ABC6, FOX28, and 10TV. What age of children does the Nursery accept and what is the teacher / student ratio? The Nursery accepts children who are 3 years old and fully potty trained. If we have space available, we can also accept children who are 2 ½ and fully potty trained. Our 3 year old classrooms follow a ratio of 1 / 12 and our other classrooms follow a ration of 1 / 14. We follow the State of Ohio Rules and Regulations when it comes to teacher / student ratios. What is the tuition and how is it paid?Tuition is based off the family’s gross monthly income or if they are with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Please refer to our Tuition Rates page to find out more information. Tuition, when paid, must be in the form of a check or money order. What if my child is allergic to certain types of foods? We require that parents alert us to allergies for inclusion in the child’s medical file. Based on the prohibited foods, an allergy plan is created and the child’s teachers are alerted. When a food on a child’s prohibited list is served, the child receives a substitution. When is my child to sick to come to school? If your child is obviously sick, do not bring him or her to school. Please take a look at the list below. If your child comes down with any of the listed illnesses, you will be notified to come and pick up your child. Children then must stay home for 24 hours.
If your child comes down with any contagious illnesses, such as the flu, pink eye, strep throat, or chicken pox, please let us know so we can warn other parents. Also, if your child is at home ill, please call and let us know. |
